Enter Lent in Stillness: A Silent Prayer Retreat at All Saints in Phoenix, Feb. 28
As we prepare to enter the holy season of Lent, All Saints Lutheran Church in Phoenix invites you to step away from the noise of daily life and into a space of prayerful stillness.
On Saturday, February 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (arrival beginning at 8:10 a.m.), All Saints will host a half-day Silent Lenten Prayer Retreat, shaped in the spirit of a monastic retreat. This intentional time of quiet is designed to help participants listen more deeply for God’s presence as we begin our Lenten journey.
The retreat will include:
Silent and communal prayer
Worship together
A shared meal
Hands-on service projects around the All Saints campus
These practices reflect a deeply Lutheran understanding of Lent as a season of repentance, renewal, and grace—drawing us back to God through Word, prayer, and service to our neighbors.
The retreat will take place at All Saints Lutheran Church, located at 15649 N. 7th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85022.
Registration is required. To sign up or request more information, contact the church office at 602-866-9191 or email Pastor Daniel Volkmann at dvolkmann@allsaintsphoenix.org.
If your heart is longing for a pause—an invitation into silence, prayer, and embodied faith—this retreat offers a meaningful way to begin Lent grounded in God’s grace.
