A new ELCA initiative—the Church Property Resource Hub (CPRH)—is helping congregations navigate one of today’s most pressing questions: what do we do with our buildings and land?
Developed in response to requests from synods and congregations, CPRH provides:
Templates, guides, and courses for property stewardship
A growing library of real-world success stories
A forthcoming support forum for shared learning
Importantly, CPRH is not about control, but about equipping congregations to make faithful decisions rooted in their mission .
Since launching in 2025, the project has already:

Hosted webinars and gathered case studies
Connected leaders across all 65 synods
Why This Matters
Across our synod, many congregations are discerning how to use their space in new ways. CPRH offers practical, faith-driven tools to help congregations turn property challenges into opportunities for mission.
