For the Common Good: Luther College’s Ongoing Mission

As we prepare for the 2026 Synod Assembly (June 11–13), we share an update from Luther College, a partner in forming leaders for the church and world.
Luther College recently adopted a renewed mission: to inspire and equip students to courageously serve the common good through a holistic liberal arts education .
This past year highlighted that mission through:
Major campus events featuring global leaders and church voices
A new faith-based leadership internship program connecting students with congregations
Strong global engagement, including international tours and recognition for internationalization
The college continues to integrate faith, learning, and vocation—helping students discern their callings in service to the world.
Why This Matters
Luther College forms leaders who will serve congregations, communities, and the wider church. Their work reflects our shared commitment to education as a calling rooted in faith and directed toward the common good.
