Region 2 Partner Opportunity (Outside GCS): Director of Worship & Faith Formation — Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Reno, NV

Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd (Reno, NV) is seeking a full-time Director of Worship and Faith Formation to craft joyful, theologically grounded, blended worship and support a volunteer faith formation team. Compensation is $65,000–$80,000 plus full benefits; applications are requested by Nov. 1 with interviews beginning in early November. About the role. Approximately 80% of the position focuses on worship design and implementation—planning with the lead pastor, coordinating music and arts, and overseeing AV/livestream—guided by Lutheran tradition and the Revised Common Lectionary while welcoming modern expressions that engage the whole congregation. The remaining 20%supports the volunteer Faith Formation Team for children, youth, and adults. Strong musical proficiency and the ability to lead teams—staff and volunteers—are important. 

Who will thrive here. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least two years’ experience in worship planning/production, and comfort with tools such as ProPresenter and livestream platforms are encouraged to apply. A specific denominational background is not required; familiarity with the ELCA is preferred. Good Shepherd is open and affirming and a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) partner.
