In Memoriam: Rev. Daniel Trejo, Father of ILM President Rev. Roberto Trejo Haager

The Grand Canyon Synod joins the Iglesia Luterana Mexicana (ILM) in grieving the death of The Rev. Daniel Trejo, father of Rev. Roberto Trejo Haager, Pastor President of the Mexican Lutheran Church. Rev. Trejo died on Sunday, December 1, and we hold the entire Trejo Haager family in prayer as they walk through this season of sorrow.

A wake for Rev. Trejo was held on Tuesday, December 2, at the congregation’s temple, with a devotional gathering at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3, at 12:30 p.m. We give thanks for the faithful witness of Rev. Trejo’s ministry and for the love and leadership he has passed on through generations.

Please join us in praying for Rev. Roberto Trejo Haager and all who mourn, trusting—as Scripture promises—that God “strengthens our inner being with power through the Spirit” and keeps us rooted in love.
