Interfaith Action in Arizona: Events, Advocacy, and Opportunities Ahead
Arizona Faith Network (AFN) continues to bring people of faith together across traditions to build understanding, strengthen democracy, and serve our communities.
This week’s newsletter highlights a wide range of opportunities for learning, connection, and action across Arizona.
Upcoming Events and Opportunities
AFN offers several ways to engage in meaningful interfaith work:
Interfaith Book Group: God’s Bridge Over a Broken World (final session April 1, 6–7 PM via Zoom)
Monday Meditation (weekly at noon via Zoom)
Poll Chaplain / Peacekeeper Training (April 13, 4–5:15 PM)
Conversation with John Fugelsang (April 15, 4 PM) – Exploring faith, democracy, and Christian nationalism
Prophetic Witness Campaign Gathering (April 16, Phoenix) – Addressing immigration justice
Interfaith Dialogue Series (begins April 23) – Exploring shared values in American public life
Community Healing & Health Fair (April 24, Phoenix) – Offering resources, care, and connection
These gatherings reflect a shared commitment to building relationships across difference and working toward the common good.
Responding to the Needs of Our Communities
AFN is also recruiting for its 2026 Heat Relief Program, with paid and volunteer roles across Maricopa County. These efforts are critical in providing safe, welcoming spaces for neighbors impacted by extreme heat.
In addition, upcoming events such as Sacred Earth: Common Ground (May 2 at the Grand Canyon) invite participants into reflection, storytelling, and connection with creation.
Partner Events and Public Witness
The newsletter also highlights opportunities from partner organizations, including:
Good Friday: Walking with Today’s Crucified (April 3, Phoenix)
Community and cultural events across the region
Interfaith learning opportunities and public witness gatherings
These events reflect the growing movement of people of faith working together across traditions for justice, compassion, and healing.
An Invitation to Engage
