Mercy Meets Action: Gather for Hunger Justice

Join Lutheran Advocacy Ministry in Arizona (LAMA) and the Lutheran Engagement and Advocacy Network (LEAN) for a special Hunger Leaders Meeting on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 6 p.m. Arizona time via Zoom. No registration is required.

Centered on “Mercy and Compassion Merging for Hunger Justice,” the gathering will bring together voices from across the church and community to explore hunger, faith, and action. Participants will hear perspectives from churchwide and synod leaders, food-bank partners, congregational advocates, and public-policy leaders.

For Lutherans, feeding our neighbors and addressing the conditions that leave people hungry are connected expressions of faith active in love. This conversation invites us to bring both compassion and advocacy to that shared calling.

Hunger leaders from the Grand Canyon and Sierra Pacific synods, LEAN and LAMA liaisons, ELCA churchwide hunger leaders, pastors, deacons, congregational advocates, and ministry partners are welcome. Whether hunger ministry is a longtime commitment or a new interest, you are invited to participate.
