This vigil is more than an event—it is an act of lament, solidarity, and faith. Across North America, Indigenous women and girls experience disproportionately high rates of violence. As Lutherans, we are called to respond not only with compassion but with justice, grounded in our baptismal promise to “strive for justice and peace in all the earth.”
Participating in this vigil offers an opportunity for congregations and individuals to stand with Indigenous communities, to remember those who have been lost, and to pray for healing and change.
