Lend a Hand at Assembly: Join a Volunteer Team in June
As we prepare for the 2026 Grand Canyon Synod Assembly, we are seeking volunteers to help create a welcoming and well-prepared space for our shared ministry gathering. Whether you can help set up before assembly begins or assist with resetting the space afterward, your support helps make this important synod event possible. To volunteer, contact Kathye Hamm at khamm@gcsynod.org.
Two volunteer opportunities are available:
Decorating Team
Wednesday, June 10 | 11:00 AM–1:00 PM
3–5 volunteers needed
Help prepare the assembly space by setting tables, arranging tablecloths and décor, and distributing materials. This team helps create a hospitable and organized environment as we gather under this year’s theme, Rooted in God’s Story.
Tear Down Team
Saturday, June 13 | 12:00–1:00 PM
15 volunteers needed
Following assembly, volunteers are needed to help take down tables and reset chairs in preparation for Sunday worship. Many hands make light work, and this hour of service helps leave the space ready for the congregation that hosts us.
In the church, even small acts of service help strengthen the whole body of Christ. Whether behind the scenes or in front of the room, every gift contributes to our shared ministry together.
To volunteer, contact Kathye Hamm at khamm@gcsynod.org.
Thank you for considering how you might help support this year’s assembly through hospitality, care, and service.
