Office of the Bishop Closed June 15 Following Synod Assembly

Following the busy and joy-filled days of the 2026 Grand Canyon Synod Assembly, the Office of the Bishop will be closed on Monday, June 15, 2026, to allow staff time for rest and renewal after assembly.

We are deeply grateful for the many rostered ministers, lay leaders, volunteers, congregations, and ministry partners whose participation helps make Synod Assembly possible. Assembly is a meaningful time of worship, discernment, relationship-building, and shared ministry across the Grand Canyon Synod—and it also requires significant preparation and coordination by staff before, during, and after the gathering.

Please plan accordingly for any time-sensitive communications or requests. Staff will return to regular office hours following the closure.

We also want to remind the synod that the Office of the Bishop will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. Additional information about the Juneteenth observance is available in our separate post.
