Now Accepting Workshop Proposals for the 2026 Grand Canyon Synod Assembly
The Grand Canyon Synod is now accepting workshop proposals for the 2026 Synod Assembly, inviting leaders across our synod to help equip and inspire the church for faithful ministry today.
Workshops are an important part of the Assembly experience, offering space for learning, practical tools, and faithful imagination. Under this year’s theme, “Rooted in God’s Story,” we are seeking workshops that help rostered ministers and lay leaders deepen their grounding in Scripture, Lutheran theology, congregational leadership, justice, stewardship, spiritual care, innovation, and practical ministry practices.
Proposals should reflect the many ways God is calling our communities to live out the gospel in the world today.
Proposal Deadline: April 6, 2026
All workshop proposals must be submitted by Monday, April 6, 2026. The Assembly Workshop Team will review submissions and notify selected presenters by mid-April.
Each workshop will be 60 minutes in length and should include time for participant interaction and conversation.
What We’re Looking For
We invite proposals for workshops that:
Equip congregations for faithful ministry in today’s context
Offer practical tools, resources, or ministry models
Address spiritual, theological, justice-oriented, or leadership themes
Encourage resilience, collaboration, and rootedness in Christ
Our hope is that these workshops will strengthen the church’s shared calling across Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and the Navajo Nation.
