Stolen Stories Episode 3 Explores the Intifadas and Oslo Accords

ELCA Sumud has released Episode 3 of “Stolen Stories,” a five-part educational video series centering Palestinian Christians as they tell their history and reflect on the forces that continue to shape life in Palestine and Israel today.

The new episode, “Intifadas & Oslo Accords,” explores a pivotal period in Palestinian history through the voices and perspectives of Palestinian Christians.

“Stolen Stories” follows the Palestinian historical narrative from before 1948 to the present day. Throughout the series, Palestinian Christian pastors, bishops, and scholars provide historical, contextual, and theological perspectives while sharing the lived experiences of Palestinians—particularly the indigenous Christian communities of Palestine and Israel—in their own words.

For Lutherans, the series offers an opportunity to listen closely to siblings in Christ whose experiences are too often interpreted through other voices. This practice of listening is part of our calling to accompany one another across the body of Christ and to seek understanding grounded in the experiences of those most directly affected.
