The Grand Canyon Synod invites congregations and ministry partners to join the 2025 Arizona Faith Network (AFN) Annual Gathering, a morning of connection, reflection, and celebration with people of many faith traditions across Arizona.

AFN is the National Council of Churches partner for our state, working to cultivate relationships across traditions to advance justice, compassion, and shared purpose. Gathering together is a meaningful way for Lutherans to join in public witness and strengthen ties with neighbors seeking the wellbeing of all.

This year’s event features Gen Kelsang Chenma, Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center, who will offer reflections that help root us in contemplative practice and inspire lives of service. The gathering will also honor the 2025 Arizona Leadership Awardees, recognizing their extraordinary contributions to community care, equity, and justice.

We encourage rostered ministers, lay leaders, and congregations to share this event widely. As Lutherans, we are called to seek the flourishing of all people and communities. This gathering offers a meaningful space to learn, celebrate, and build relationships that strengthen our shared witness to justice and compassion.
