Why This Matters for Our Synod

As Lutherans, we are called to be rooted in God’s story—a story that consistently moves outward toward neighbor, justice, and reconciliation. These interfaith opportunities reflect that calling by inviting us into deeper understanding, shared witness, and collaborative action across religious and cultural lines.

In a time marked by division and uncertainty, gathering with neighbors of other faiths becomes a tangible expression of our baptismal vocation: to seek the good of all, to listen deeply, and to embody Christ’s love in public life.

We encourage rostered ministers, lay leaders, and congregational members across the Grand Canyon Synod to explore these opportunities and share them within your communities.
