Young Adults: Get Creative and Connect at Gather Valley of the Sun

Gather Valley of the Sun (VOTS), an ELCA young adult community in the Phoenix area, is relaunching this fall with a Tie-Dye Workshop & Fall Kickoff on Sunday, Sept. 20, at University Lutheran Church in Tempe.

The gathering begins at noon, with an optional lunch at 11 a.m. University Lutheran Church is located at 340 E. 15th St., Tempe, AZ 85281. All materials for the tie-dye workshop will be provided.

Gather Valley of the Sun creates opportunities for young adults to build community, deepen relationships and connect their lives and faith. As part of the ELCA’s Gather Network, the local community is one of several Gather groups bringing young adults together for fellowship, service, faith formation and mutual support.

This fall kickoff is an opportunity both to reconnect with Gather VOTS and to welcome young adults who haven’t participated before. Congregations and leaders throughout the Grand Canyon Synod are encouraged to share the invitation with young adults in their communities and networks.
