Aging With Grace: Free Webinar Series Supports Seniors, Families, and Caregivers

The Southwest California Synod is inviting older adults, family members, caregivers, and congregational leaders to participate in Aging With Grace, a free three-part faith-based webinar series designed to help people navigate the challenges and opportunities of aging with confidence, support, and hope.

The first webinar, Understanding the Aging Journey, will be held on Monday, June 29, at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time via Zoom. Because the event is online and free of charge, participants from across the ELCA—including the Grand Canyon Synod—are welcome to attend.

Presented by the Southwest California Synod and Solheim Senior Community, the series is led by Deacon Dr. Cecelia Travick-Jackson, Assistant to the Bishop for Senior Adult Ministries. The webinars will explore practical and spiritual aspects of aging, helping older adults and those who care for them remain connected to faith, community, and purpose while learning about supportive resources and options.

As Lutherans, we affirm that every stage of life is a gift from God. Aging brings unique joys, questions, and transitions, and the church has an important role in walking alongside individuals and families through those experiences. This series offers encouragement, education, and faith-centered conversation for those navigating the aging journey.
