April Opportunities with AFN: Advocacy, Healing, and Interfaith Connection
Arizona Faith Network (AFN) is offering a wide range of opportunities this April for faith leaders and communities to engage in advocacy, spiritual practice, and community care across Arizona. From online gatherings to in-person events in Phoenix, these opportunities invite us to live out our call to love our neighbor in tangible ways.
Key upcoming events include:

In addition, AFN continues its Monday Meditation gatherings each week at noon MST via Zoom, providing a consistent space for prayer and grounding in the midst of a busy and often anxious world.
AFN is also currently hiring and recruiting for its 2026 Heat Relief Program, with positions across Maricopa County running May through September. These roles are essential to protecting neighbors most vulnerable to extreme heat—an increasingly urgent ministry in our region.
For those engaged in advocacy, opportunities also include a call to action for worker heat safety (April 9) and ongoing interfaith training through the United Religions Initiative.
As Lutherans, we are reminded that faith is never lived in isolation. Rooted in God’s story, we are sent into the world to seek justice, accompany our neighbors, and care for creation. These opportunities from AFN offer meaningful ways to embody that calling—through presence, advocacy, and shared community.
We encourage you to explore the full AFN newsletter, RSVP for events, and share these opportunities within your congregation and networks.
