Wartburg College’s Castle Singers & Kammerstreicher to Perform at Lord of Life on March 5

Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West will host the Wartburg College Castle Singers and Kammerstreicheron Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 7:00 PM, offering our synod an evening rooted in Lutheran musical excellence.

The concert features two distinguished ensembles from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa:

• The Castle Singers, a 28-voice mixed choir directed by Dr. Nicki Bakko Toliver

• Kammerstreicher, a 16-member chamber string ensemble directed by Dr. Rebecca Nederhiser

Together, these ensembles represent Wartburg’s long-standing tradition of musical artistry, theological depth, and disciplined excellence. Wartburg’s music program is nationally recognized for its quality and its history of touring—bringing sacred music into congregations and communities across the country.

For Lutherans, music is not ornament—it is proclamation. From Luther’s hymns to today’s choral and instrumental offerings, music carries the Word in ways that form faith, shape community, and root us in God’s story.
