Watch for Your New 2026 Portico Health ID & HealthEquity Cards

As we approach January 1, Portico Benefit Services is mailing out new Health ID cards and HealthEquity debit cards for 2026. Here’s what ELCA-Primary members and those using HSA/FSA accounts need to know to prepare.

New Portico Health ID Cards Arriving in December

All ELCA-Primary health benefit members will receive a new Health ID card for 2026. This year’s card includes a Group ID number—a frequently requested improvement.

  • Most cards will arrive in December, though holiday mail delays may push some deliveries to mid-January.

  • If your card has not arrived by Jan. 1, you may:

    • Print a temporary card through the Quantum Health website.

    • Call Quantum Health Care Coordinators at 877-851-5656, Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m. Central. They can email your card or give you your member information.

    • Download the Quantum Health mobile app to access your card digitally.

HSA/FSA Transition: Further → HealthEquity

If you currently use a health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA), your tax-advantaged accounts will transition from Further to HealthEquity on Jan. 1, 2026.

You will receive a new HealthEquity debit card this month.

Please note the cutoff dates for your existing Further card:

  • HSA: Continue using your Further debit card through Dec. 22*

  • FSA: Continue using your Further debit card through Dec. 31

  • Starting Jan. 1: Use only your new HealthEquity card for eligible expenses.

If the type of tax-advantaged account you elected for 2026 differs from what you currently have, HealthEquity will manage the transition for you.
