A Deeper Well: Renewal and Resilience for Clergy Through Depth Psychology

Many clergy enter ministry with deep spiritual commitment and a desire to serve, only to find themselves quietly eroded by the inner and outer demands of leadership. Hidden congregational dynamics, perfectionism, and emotional fatigue often lead to burnout and disconnection from the joy of vocation.

This fall, the Rev. Richard Mallory offers Renewal and Resilience: A Depth Psychology Approach for Clergy, a transformative online training for active clergy seeking not just coping strategies but authentic renewal through deepened self-awareness.

The seven-session Zoom course will meet on Tuesdays from 10:00–11:30 a.m. (Pacific) on the following dates: September 9, 16, 23, 30, and October 7, 14, and 28. The cost is $350, and each group is limited to eight participants to ensure a meaningful, reflective experience.

This program provides sacred space for clergy to:

  • Develop awareness of shadow aspects that impact ministry and emotions

  • Identify personal energy drains and leadership triggers

  • Explore unseen tensions in congregational life

  • Cultivate sustainable practices that honor both vocation and well-being

Led by Rev. Mallory—a priest, psychotherapist, and senior faculty member with over five decades of experience—this training is not therapy, but an invitation to growth through compassionate self-exploration.
