Grand Canyon Synod Office has a new location

We will be located within the same office complex, but in the suite immediately south of our current location.

Our landlord is renting our current space to another tenant, and per our lease agreement, the property management company is moving us to a comparable space and covering our remodeling and moving costs.

Our new address is Grand Canyon Synod, 1819 E. Morten Avenue, Suite 110, Phoenix, AZ 85020.

The Grand Canyon Synod is pleased to announce that we have fully launched our new program titled Educate, Equip, Enact (3E), with three components: Stewardship for All Seasons, The Ministerial Excellence Fund and Vital Right Shaped Ministry.

We know that the circumstances of these times may have resulted in personal difficulties for rostered leaders and have also created challenges for congregations. FAQs for Remote Council and Congregation Meetings during the COVID-19 Pandemic

In summary, in Nevada and Arizona, remote council and member meetings are acceptable as long as they are not prohibited by the organization’s governing documents. Check your constitution, bylaws, and continuing resolutions, as you will need to comply with those documents in announcing the meeting, establishing a quorum, and voting. Our sincere condolences to the Malagasy Lutheran Church (MLC) following the death of the church’s president, Rev. Dr David Rakotonirina. Rakotonirina, 58, succumbed to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on 11 July in Madagascar’s capital Antananarivo. More info on the LWF site.
