Scammers are impersonating as bishops, asking for money and gift cards

We have learned recently that some of the Bishops in other synods have been impersonated. The scammers are using email and posing as the Bishop asking for money and gift cards. The emails appear quite legitimate and are using the synod logos in some cases.

A strange school year begins at Navajo Mission Preparatory School, but they’re ready.

A partner congregation has committed to helping meet the goal of 40 Chromebooks to bridge the digital divide. A $25,000 Relief grant from No Kid Hungry extends the breakfast and lunch program to siblings. Students receive at-home delivery of food and met their teacher through the bus window.

Both the attendees and the viewers of the livestreamed 11:00am Mass at Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul in Philadelphia were shocked by what transpired during the service on August 23.

Sarah Contrucci had just finished reading as the lector and was returning to her pew. An unknown woman approached Contrucci and punched her twice in the face, for no clear reason.
