As summer fades, the Arizona Faith Network (AFN) brings a medley of enlightening and engaging events that bridge diverse communities and spark dialogue. Here's a snapshot of what's on offer:

  • Meditative Mondays: Begin your week centered and calm with the AFN's Monday Meditation sessions. On September 11, Rev. Joan Amaral from Zen Center North Shore will lead a special meditation.

  • Unpacking Housing Challenges: Delve deep into the multifaceted topic of housing with Dr. Cathy Small’s book, “The Man in the Dog Park.” This 4-part book discussion, spread across September and October, promises to be a journey through homelessness, capitalism's impact, stigma, and ultimately, returning home.

  • Interfaith Dialogues: Arizona Faith Talks continues on September 21 with Dr. Karen Leslie Hernandez discussing the power of multi-religious collaboration in peacebuilding.

  • AFN's Annual Gathering: October 24 is the day to mark in your calendars. This year's theme is 'Building Bridges, Breaking Barriers,' and the keynote speaker, Tahil Sharma, will enlighten attendees on how shared humanity and faith traditions can be used to connect and create understanding.

  • Partner News: From caregiver training to discussions about Islam and contemporary dance, partner events span a wide range of engaging topics.

Lastly, mark your interfaith calendars for the upcoming religious observances. These events are more than just dates; they're an invitation to understanding, respect, and unity.

Join these events to not only gain knowledge but to also be part of the collective effort towards understanding and unity. For more details and registration information, check the AFN's official newsletter.
