Dr. Colleen Windham-Hughes to Enlighten 2024 Synod Assembly with Bible Study Insights

Dr. Colleen Windham-Hughes joins us as one of the esteemed special guests for our 2024 Synod Assembly. Dr. Windham-Hughes currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Mission and Identity at California Lutheran University.

With over a decade of experience at Cal Lutheran, initially as a faculty member and department chair of Religion and later as Associate Dean, Dr. Windham-Hughes has demonstrated a profound commitment to the mission and identity of Lutheran higher education. Her involvement extends beyond Cal Lutheran through her active participation in the Network of ELCA Colleges and Universities (NECU), where she serves as the editor of Intersections and contributes to the planning of the Vocation of Lutheran Higher Education Conference.

During our assembly, Dr. Windham-Hughes will lead our Bible study sessions, offering her insightful perspectives to guide us in deepening our understanding and engagement with Scripture. Her work with the Formation Co-Op, an ELCA grant-funded initiative by the Lilly Foundation focusing on children, youth, and family ministry, underscores her dedication to nurturing faith and vocational discernment within the Lutheran community.
