Give Back This Easter: How You Can Support LSSN's Community Event

Lutheran Social Services of Nevada (LSSN) invites you to be part of a special Easter celebration that promises joy and essential resources to families in need. On Thursday, March 28, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, the Whitney Recreation Center will transform into a vibrant hub of community support, fun activities, and Easter festivities. Last year, we were able to serve 390 children from 229 families, and with your help, we aim to extend our reach even further this year.

This event is more than just an Easter Egg Hunt; it's an opportunity for families facing hardship to access crucial services and enjoy a day filled with joy and hope. Highlights of the event include dental checkups from the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, vision testing by Dr's Kopolow and Girisgen, numerous resources from HELP of Southern Nevada, educational materials from Arics Mobile Library, engaging interactions with the Las Vegas Metro Police, and much more. Children will delight in Easter baskets, an egg hunt, face painting, food, music, and various fun activities tailored just for them.

Location: Whitney Recreation Center, 5712 Missouri Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89122.

Time: Thursday, March 28 from 2:00-5:00pm. Volunteers and service providers are requested to arrive before 1:30pm.

We are calling on the community to collect Easter baskets, plastic eggs, candy, small puzzles or toys, children’s books, art supplies, and other related items by Tuesday, March 26. Additionally, we welcome partners to provide free resources to kids and families and volunteers to help make this event a success.

How You Can Help:

  • Partner with us by offering services or resources at the event.
