Great news for those feeling the call to serve and inspire the youth of our church: the deadline for Gathering Volunteer Corps (GVC) applications for the 2024 ELCA Youth Gathering has been extended to November 1! This extension is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who missed the initial deadline to step up and contribute to making the Gathering a memorable experience. Volunteers play a crucial role, and while you're responsible for your travel to New Orleans, lodging and food are covered. Interested? Visit the Gathering website to learn more or apply.

If you've already registered, kudos for being proactive! Now's a good time to ensure you've filled out the Congregational Details section of your registration. While the specifics don't have to be set in stone, providing preliminary arrival and departure dates, along with your priority preferences, greatly assists the planning team.

Questions? We figured you might have a few, so we've compiled a comprehensive FAQ section on our website. If your question remains unanswered, don't hesitate to reach out to our team directly at gathering@elca.org.

Don't forget to keep an eye on important upcoming dates. October 15 is the deadline for both Servant Companion priority and financial assistance applications. November 1 marks the close of priority registration and the extended deadline for GVC applications. Regular registration will open the following day, November 2.

This Gathering won't be the same without you — whether you're there in spirit or in person, your support, prayers, and enthusiasm are what make this event a success!
