LCM | Canterbury 2022-2023 school year update

As LCM|Canterbury, the Lutheran and Episcopal Campus Ministry at NAU, enters into an interim time this school year, we share an update from their board.

Dear Beloved,

Grace and peace to you. At this point last year, we very much hoped that we would be introducing you to the next campus pastor and chaplain for LCM|Canterbury. Sadly, this is not the case. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are having to go into an interim period prior to finding our next minister.

That said, we want to assure you that LCM|Canterbury is still very much alive and well! We have been working tirelessly this summer, planning this upcoming year and we are so very optimistic for what the future will hold. Allie Papke-Larson, our program coordinator, is going to transition from 20 to 32 hours a week and the Revs. Cheryl Fox and Gwen Brandfass, two of our board officers, are stepping in to provide pastoral leadership, support, guidance, and care for this upcoming year. We have some very exciting events planned, and look forward to welcoming new students and young adults into our midst once more. Have no doubt, we are changing this world one young adult at a time, and thatwork will not stop this year. We don’t know exactly what the future holds, but we do know that we are following the Holy Spirit as best we can, trusting in God to lead us where we need to go. The work of ministry is a journey, after all, and as we continue on we will ensure to keep you apprised of our campus pastor/chaplain search process.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support of this young adult and campus ministry. We truly believe that the work we do with young people is vital to the futureof our church, and we are able to do this with your generous support.

In Christ’s Unending Love,T
