LSSN’s Easter Celebration: Bringing Resources and Joy to Families in Need

Join Lutheran Social Services of Nevada in creating an unforgettable Easter experience for those they serve. For more details or to get involved by collecting items, volunteering, or sponsoring, visit their Event Page.

Many of the families that we serve do not have enough resources to celebrate Easter. Some are in transition and others are on the edge of homeless / instability. At last year's Easter Egg Hunt and Resource Fair we served 390 children from 229 families, and we hope to serve even more this year. This event will be on March 28, 2024 from 2:00-5:00pm. Crucial community resources will be present such as the Ronald Mcdonald Care mobile which provides dental checkups. We will also have vision testing, SNAP benefits, educational resources, Easter baskets, food, music, fun activities for the kids and more! Here are a couple of ways to get involved:

Collect Easter baskets, plastic eggs, candy, small puzzles or toys, children’s books, art supplies, and other related items which we will need on or before Monday, March 24. Let Martin know a convenient time for a pickup or drop off at LSSN Headquarters.

Volunteer at our Resource Fair on March 28 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Food and beverages will be provided. We will need volunteers at a few different stations such as the registration table, bounce house, face painting, LSSN resource table, and more.

Partner by providing resources to kids and families such as snacks, haircuts, mentorship programs, provide educational resources or some other relevant services.

Let me know how you would like to be involved! You can check out more information on our Event Page: https://www.lssnv.org/easter-egg-hunt-and-resource-fair/
